For many, the past 24 hours have been marked by meals with family and friends. But for around 650,000 French people who tested positive for Covid-19 recently, Friday December 24th and Christmas have mostly been synonymous with isolation.

They celebrated Christmas from their teenage bedroom. Left to join their families for the holidays, two students tested at the Covid-19 had to confine themselves. It had been six months since Liam had seen his loved ones. He had come back from England especially for Christmas. As his parents left to wake up, Liam spends the evening of Friday, December 24 with his friends, also confined, via the Internet.
