Quebec reports 36 deaths and a drop of 29 hospitalizations; 1256 additional cases are added to the balance sheet.

The most recent data on the evolution of COVID‐19 in Quebec show:
- 1,256 new cases, for a total of 1,165,128 people infected*;
- 36 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 16,165 deaths;
- 4,109 healthcare workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,964 hospitalizations, including 679 due to COVID-19, a decrease of 29 from the previous day;
- 280 new entries,
- 309 new releases;
- 50 people in intensive care, including 29 due to COVID-19, a decrease of 5 compared to the previous day;
- 20 new entries,
- 25 new releases;
- 9,362 samples taken on August 14;
- 276,642 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 231,497 positive: 241 declared for the day yesterday, including 199 positive.
*Remember that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 11,652 doses administered are added, for a total of 20,468,759 doses administered in Quebec.
