Mission: rehydration
Do you have features drawn by the fatigue of this end of the school year? The first rays of sunshine weren’t kind to your cheekbones? In short, your skin is thirsty, and extremely thirsty? This is a hydration treatment you need. Better: ultra-rehydration! This is what Kiehl’s rehydrating night mask offers, launched last winter, which we finally find more useful since the arrival of the beautiful days. Its concentrated formula (based on 10.5% squalane, the miracle ingredient of the brand’s star cream, Ultra Facial) in fact helps to restore the skin barrier, reducing visible dryness and hydrating the skin for up to three days after use. And it works: the skin remains nourished, soft and more supple to the touch, without that unpleasant feeling of tightness, long after the treatment. Bonus: can be used as a night mask (because the skin loses water during our sleep, did you know that?), as a 15-minute treatment or simply as a cleansing cream. In short, the formula is hybrid and versatile, to be used according to individual needs!

Cleanse and remove make-up without irritating
The French brand Uriage generally offers very good products enriched with thermal water that are suitable for all skin types. This is particularly true with its Roséliane range, specially designed for sensitive skin prone to redness. We really like the day cream — ideal to carry around in your travel kit with its small 40 ml format — and the dermon-cleansing fluid, the latest addition to the range, with its gel-cream texture with a delicate floral scent, which allows you to remove make-up and gently cleanse (yes, even mascara!). There’s no need to rinse the product off, although we prefer to wipe a damp wipe over our face after using it. Plant extracts such as apricot kernel or calendula or mallow flower extract keep the skin soothed.
$22 (250 ml), available online and in some pharmacies

Dare to be red
With the wearing of the mask, many of us have given up on lipstick. It’s time to reconnect with this coquetry, for those who want! We’ve been using the Absolu Rouge Drama lip tint by Lancôme for quite a while, which, yes, holds up even under a mask — if you ever have to take public transport or whatever! It extends like a charm and with a single gesture with its patented curved brush, in the shape of a petal; its texture, ultra-fluid, dries quickly, and the color is very pigmented, with a very fashionable semi-matte finish. It leaves the lips soft and its color lasts several hours. Red is available in 17 shades. Our favourite? The dapper red French Bisous!

A lightweight serum
This high hydration probiotic serum from Lise Watier has a fluid and fresh texture, very pleasant when applied to the skin of the face, morning and evening. There is thus an impression of lightness. Composed of 90% ingredients of natural origin such as Labrador tea, Gaspésie seaweed and ginseng, this serum fulfills its mission very well, that of moisturizing the skin. After a fortnight of use, we already feel our face smoother, hydrated and protected, which is good at the end of spring.
