A “active rain-storm disturbance coming from the Balearic Islands” and is preparing to reach Corsica-du-Sud. In a bulletin published Wednesday, October 2, Météo-France placed the department on orange “rain-flood” vigilance from Thursday, 6 a.m., until noon. “The rainy intensities and accumulations expected during the episode will be significant”, warns the forecaster, who evokes a “episode of short but intense heavy rains”.

If Haute-Corse is not concerned at this stage, “there is a possibility that the forecast phenomenon, currently marked with yellow vigilance in Haute-Corse, could be subject to an update to the orange rain-flood level in the event of a worsening of the forecast”continues Météo-France.
