The first demonstrators arrived Thursday afternoon on Parliament Hill, and it was already very difficult to approach the National Assembly. The “freedom convoy” of “Rambo” Gauthier will however sleep in Stoneham on Thursday.

Clearly, municipal and provincial authorities have no desire for the Ottawa scenario to repeat itself. Some demonstrators settled in the afternoon, where it was possible, at least. The sector was already cordoned off on Thursday, for the preparations for the Carnival and in anticipation of the groups of demonstrators. Among other things, it is impossible to access the Tourny fountain by car.
