Justice was taken after a pro-Palestinian demonstration on Tuesday March 12, at Sciences Po Paris. The amphitheater was allegedly banned from entering a student on the pretext that she was a Zionist.

“Gaza, Sciences Po is with you”, the students chanted. The main amphitheater of Sciences Po Paris was occupied by around a hundred students as part of a European demonstration for Palestine on Tuesday March 12. At the heart of this blockage, a controversy broke out. According to the school and several witnesses, one of the members of the Union of Jewish Students of France was prevented from attending. A fact refuted by the organizers of the rally.

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is imported into universities and schools

Gaza has become a very sensitive subject within the establishment. “It’s really a hot topic, we rarely discuss it,” notes a student. The conflict crystallizes tensions in universities and schools. “The Israeli-Palestinian conflict (…) matters one way or another”analyzes Frédéric Encel, doctor in geopolitics and lecturer at Sciences Po Paris.
