France has been hit by a sharp drop in temperatures over the past few days. The cold snap is not expected to last. A thaw is expected next week.
The thermometer barely climbs above 7°C in some towns on the morning of Thursday, September 12. Low temperatures, worthy of the end of October. This foretaste of autumn is a cold snap that is well felt by many French people, who are forced to adapt. Temperatures are 5 to 7°C below seasonal averages. Which causes some inconvenience.
The drop in temperatures, which has set in abruptly over the last few days, is not to everyone’s liking. In Mâcon (Saône-et-Loire), a market gardener is having more trouble selling his end-of-season fruit. The night from Thursday to Friday, September 13, is expected to be even cooler, but this cold spell should not last too long. A thaw and a rise in temperatures are expected next week.
