Coach driver shot dead in supermarket parking lot

A coach driver was shot dead on the night of Wednesday 4 to Thursday 5 September in the car park of a supermarket in Metz, franceinfo learned from a source close to the case on Thursday.

According to the first elements of the investigation, four tourist coach drivers – all of Turkish origin – had parked their vehicles in the parking lot of the store in order to eat, when a vehicle came alongside them. On board, according to a source close to the case, were four to five hooded and armed people who shot at the group of coach drivers. One of them died of his injuries, hit in the thigh. His coach is registered in Bulgaria.

The perpetrators of the attack immediately left and fled. The Metz judicial police are in charge of the investigation.
