The 13th and 14th stages of the Tour de France 2022 will pass through the Loire and the Haute-Loire on Friday July 15 and Saturday July 16. For this 2022 edition, 4,000 kilometers of roads will be blocked on the passage of the Tour de France. And those of Loire and Haute-Loire will be no exception. The Loire, July 15
The Tour de France arrives in the Loire on Friday July 15, at the level of the town of Saint Joseph, from 3:00 p.m., time of passage of the caravan. The last of the peloton should cross Saint-Joseph around 5:10 p.m. Then the Tour will follow the old National Road 88 (renamed M88) from Rive-de-Gier, to Saint-Chamond, where it will branch off onto the M1498 and the M11, towards Saint-Etienne. These axes will therefore be cut all afternoon.
- To Saint Joseph : parking and traffic prohibited from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- To Shore of Gier: parking and traffic prohibited from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- To Lorette: parking prohibited from midnight to 6 p.m. and traffic prohibited from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- To The Grand Cross : restricted parking and traffic
- To The Horme: parking prohibited from July 14, 8 p.m. to July 15, 6:30 p.m., and traffic prohibited from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- To Saint Chamond: parking prohibited from July 14, 8 p.m. to July 15, 7 p.m., and traffic prohibited from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- In Sorbiers: parking prohibited from July 14, 10 p.m. to July 15, 6 p.m., and traffic prohibited from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- At La Talaudiere : parking prohibited from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and circulation prohibited from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- In Saint-Étienne-Nord : parking and traffic totally prohibited on July 15 and 16, in the Terrasse, Geoffroy Guichard, Bel Air, Golf sectors…
In Rive-de-Gier, the Tour de France caravan will arrive from 3:11 p.m., the peloton, between 4:51 p.m. and 5:11 p.m. the Tour de France will take Avenue du Maréchal-Juin, Cours Gambetta, Quai Fleurdelix, Cours du 11 Novembre, Cours Nelson-Mandela, Pont Pierre-Sémard and Rue Edouard-Vaillant (RD88). On this axis, parking will be prohibited from Thursday July 14 at 8 p.m. until Friday July 15 at 6 p.m. and traffic will be prohibited on Friday July 15 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
In Saint-Etienne, the Tour de France caravan will arrive from 3:45 p.m., the peloton between 5:25 p.m. and 5:47 p.m. For the occasion, the public transport from Stas network will be free from July 14 to 16 and the frequency of trams will be doubled. Bike stations will also be made available: two VéliVert stations, positioned near the “arrival” and “departure” sites: Chaléassière station (rue Bergson) and Technopôle (rue des Aciéries). Guarded and free bike lockers will also be installed on the “arrival” sites on Friday July 15, and “departure” on Saturday July 16 and at the Fan Park on July 14, 15 and 16.
Saint-Étienne and Haute-Loire, July 16
Saint Etienne
- On the arrival and departure area
The caravan will leave at 10:15 a.m. from Saint-Étienne, the peloton at 12:15 p.m. Parking and the circulation of all types of vehicles, outside the organization, will be prohibited from Thursday July 14, 2022 at 8 p.m. to July 16 at 8 p.m. for the following streets: boulevard: Claude Verney Carron (between the Terrasse interchange and the Barrouin intersection). – Streets: Jean Snella, Antoine Cuissard, avenue Manuel Fernandez, Paul and Pierre Guichard, alley des Frères Gauthier, Roger Rocher, alley Jean Lauer, impasse d’Arsonval, esplanade Bénévent, alley du Père Chossonerie, place Balboa, de la Tour ( between Trois Glorieuses and Paul and Pierre Guichard intersection) as well as Camille de Rochetaillée (between Snella and Innovation).
Parking will be prohibited on the route of the finish stage (July 15) from July 14 at 8 p.m. until July 15 at 10 p.m.: in the streets: de la Tour (between the Bouvreuil intersection and the Trois Glorieuses intersection), Trois glorieuses (between Coubertin and Monthyon intersection). Parking will also be prohibited in the Gare SNCF Terrasse car park.
The Haute-Loire
The 14ᵉ stage of the Tour de France linking Saint-Étienne to Mende will cross the Haute-Loire department. The caravan will cross the Haute-Loire from 10:45 a.m., and the runners from 12:45 p.m.
The runners will cross the towns of Saint-Just-Malmont, Saint Didier-en-Velay, La Séauve-sur-Semène, Sainte-Sigolène, Grazac, Yssingeaux, Bessamorel, Saint-Julien-du-Pinet, Mézères, Rosières, Beaulieu, Lavoûte-sur-Loire, Chaspinhac, Le Monteil, Chadrac, Le Puy-en-Velay, Vals-près-le-Puy, Saint-Christophe-sur-Dolaison, Séneujols, Cayres, Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas, Saint-Haon .
- Beaulieu : traffic closed from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. in the following lanes: rue du Vieux Bourg, Chemin de la Galoche, Route de Jabruzac, Rue du Moulin, Rue des Artisans, Rue des Anciens Combattants,
- Le Bouchet Saint-Nicolas : traffic prohibited on the portion of the RD31 crossing the territory of the municipality from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Access to this axis will also be prohibited from all municipal roads, streets and paths.
- Chadrac : traffic prohibited from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on many axes (find all the roads concerned here)
- Grazac : traffic prohibited on the portions of the departmental roads RD43, RD 432 and RD 105 crossing the territory of the municipality from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Lavoute-sur-Loire : circulation closed from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the following lanes (find all the lanes concerned here)
- The Monteil : traffic prohibited from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.: RD103, crossing the Durianne, in both directions, from the Le Monteil/Chaspinhac municipal boundary to the Loire bridge between Le Monteil and Chadrac
- Rosieres : traffic prohibited from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the RD, from the Soudar intersection to the entrance to Adiac, as well as on all municipal roads.
- Saint-Christophe-sur-Dolaizon : traffic prohibited from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the portion of the RD31 crossing the territory of the municipality.
- Saint Haon : circulation prohibited from 10:00 a.m. until authorization to open is given by the organizer on the following axes: all of the lanes located between the entrance and exit signs for the Saint-Haon and Nouveau Monde conurbations, lanes leading to the RD31: RD40 in Saint-Haon as well as the U38 and U39 in the New World
- Saint-Just-Malmont : traffic prohibited from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on rue de Firminy and rue Nationale (from the entrance to Les Sagnes to the roundabout of Les Grangers).
- Sainte-Sigolene : traffic prohibited on many axes from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (find all the lanes concerned here)
- La Séauve-sur-Semene : traffic prohibited in both directions from the roundabout to Saint-Didier-en-Velay from 9.30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
