Holidays are also made for going to bed late! Here are three ideas for outdoor night outings to stretch out the days with friends or family.
Theater in your park
One morning, Mr. Pierre discovers when he wakes up that his nose has disappeared! In a panic, he embarks on a frantic quest through the city, with the help of a young girl named Anna. This surreal fable is called The nose, and there is a good chance that it will be played near you. Théâtre La Roulotte — named after the vehicle that travels from one park to another, carrying with it sets and costumes to transform into a small theater stage at each place it stops — is back in Montreal parks. A 70-year-old tradition!
Journey to the Heart of the Universe
Did you know that in Quebec is one of the largest international dark sky reserves? It is located on the American border, around Mont Mégantic, a particularly dimly lit place and conducive to observing the night sky! Come to the ASTROLab of Parc national du Mont-Mégantic to discover the splendours of space and the Universe, especially from July 14 to 16 for the Popular Astronomy Festival and from August 11 to 13 for the nights of the Perseids.
Starry nights at the drive-in
Top Gun, Buzz Lightning, Jurassic world. Domination, Minions 2. Once upon a time Gru : the star films arrive on our screens… and for an even more amusing experience, why not take advantage of the beautiful summer evenings to go see them in the open air, lying on the grass or wedged in the trunk of the family car , like in the days of your grandparents? Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Saint-Eustache, Belle-Neige, Orford, Baie-Saint-Paul or even Chandler… one stop pop corn (butter supplement) is a must on the holiday route!
