Fascinating and haunting sound. Since its creation in 1895, cinema has given us an appointment with thousands of stars and thousands of stories. In Paris, Bercy district, a contemporary building houses the Cinémathèque française. Here, treasures of the 7th art are screened every day. It is the first cinema collection in the world. It’s more than 40,000 films stored“, explains Jean-Christophe Mikhailoffdirector of communication Cinémathèque française.

“A Place of Pleasure”

In front of posters and screens, cinema lovers feel at home. For Costa Gavrasdirector and president of the French Cinematheque, the cinematheque “is a place of pleasure“. Cinema is a faceted game.
