Christophe Dechavanne “bawled out two or three times” by an actress, he says…

Soon on the small screen in the totally unexpected role of William Perrin, chief sergeant, in the series Captain Marleau, Christophe Dechavanne abandons for the first time his hat as an animator for that of an actor. Interviewed by TV Starthe former host of the show I’m a celebrity, get me out of here! revealed behind the scenes of this experience, which he considered to be truly frightening.

Totally stressed“of not being up to it, he explains that he has long been seen as a burden in the world of series and cinema. “I’ve wanted to act for twenty years, but with my head as an animator, I’m considered a parasite who comes knocking at the door, which I understand very well!“, he confides with regret.

Spotted by Josée Gayan, the director of the series Captain Marleau, Christophe Dechavanne therefore certainly did not want to disappoint her, nor even her sidekick in this fiction of France 2, Corinne Masiero. Annoyed by the pessimism and the sometimes a little defeatist side of the host, the actress obviously had a few fits of nerves when she discovered how much he doubted him.

I was scared

Corinne yelled at me two or three times asking me to stop saying that I was not an actor! “You are an actor!” she repeated. Anguished, he even says that he was sometimes forced to lie down “on the ground“on his down jacket”to meditate“so scared he was.”I was scared“, he adds, very sincere.

In addition, Christophe Dechavanne confides that he found a real attentive ear in the divisive Corinne Masiero whom he simply adored! “I met a wonderful woman! She and I are a bit like animals, it goes very quickly. In less than a minute we realized that it was going to stick. It was better than that since we messed around a lot outside of takes and we talked about our lives“, he explained.

As a reminder, Christophe Dechavanne will appear on April 8 in the series Captain Marleau on France 2 at 9:10 p.m.

The full interview with Christophe Dechavanne is available in the magazine TV Starfrom April 2 to 8, 2022.
