The former Minister of Justice, Christiane Taubira, won the popular primary on Sunday January 30. A ballot that validates his candidacy for the presidential election of 2022.
The popular primary delivered its verdict on Sunday, January 30. Christiane Taubira came first, ahead of Yannick Jadot and Jean-Luc Mélenchon. Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris, finished in fifth place. “Christiane Taubira obtained the mention ‘much more’, which allows her to arrive largely at the head of this popular primary”, reports Alexandre Peyrout, live from the HQ of the former Keeper of the Seals, in Paris. In all, 392,000 people voted, out of 467,000 registered.
