Despicable, but… useful
With the return of heat and good weather, nature comes back to life. The flowers grow, the grass turns green, the birds sing and… the mosquitoes bite, to the great displeasure of the young heroine of this pleasant album.
No matter how much she chases them away, these “little winged vampires” are determined to ruin her day. However, these often unpleasant insects are very useful and necessary for life, she discovers. Birds, frogs, flowers and even aliens confirm this over the pages.

For teenagers
Everything for his mother
Sam’s world changes when she learns that her mother has cancer. Very Cartesian, the teenager leaves aside her pain and decides to do everything to save her.
“I wanted to fight, take up arms, restore order to the universe. A universe that cannot exist without my mother at its center,” says the 14-year-old heroine. In the hope of offering the patient an experimental and expensive treatment in Switzerland, Sam sets up a crowdfunding campaign.
But the cancer is progressing and she will have to stop being an ostrich. We follow with emotion the ordeals crossed by the teenager in this novel which skilfully combines biting humor and touching moments.

Everything for a treat
Do you smell that sweet smell? All the squirrels in the park smelled it. It comes from the street truck recently installed nearby. Nora and Brioche absolutely want to taste the donuts they cook there. Unfortunately for the two squirrels, hazelnuts are not accepted currency.
The friendly duo will redouble their efforts to achieve their goals in this funny graphic novel inspired by New York squirrels.

Fascinating evolution
What did the ancestors of birds look like? This fascinating documentary with comic illustrations goes around the question by presenting their evolution over millions of years.
We discover in particular a feathered dinosaur very clever to climb but not to fly or even a superchicken whose descendants are the duck and the rooster.
Do you prefer sea or land animals? Volumes 4 and 5 of this very well-crafted documentary series focus on the history of these creatures.
