Cesson-Rennes Métropole Handball has had an excellent start to the season so far: after 4 days, the Indomitables have a record of three wins for one defeat, after their success obtained this Thursday evening at the Glaz Arena against Istres (33- 22). Before the Friday matches and those of the weekend, including those of Nantes and Paris, the Bretons are temporarily leading the championship.
Against Istres, the CRMHB made the difference in the second part of the first half, notably by inflicting a 6-0 allowing them to go from 9-8 to 15-8. A significant advantage which allowed the teammates of Arnaud Tabarand, once again huge in the Cessonnaise cage (15 saves) to build up a good cushion in advance at the break (16-10).
The Brazilian players managed to keep their seriousness throughout the match and even to increase their lead against overwhelmed Istreans. A good omen before a double trip, first to the promoted Sélestat, then to Nantes for a derby which could be played in the heights of the classification, since the H is undefeated over the first three days.
