Thanks to sport, we manage to highlight them and increase their self-esteem, which is sometimes difficult in our current society.
Céline Leroy arrived here at ASM in 2008. It welcomes people in wheelchairs to practice wheelchair tennis, but also people with mental disabilities or mental illness either on private sessions, or in a classic tennis school group. She also practices blind tennis sessions for visually impaired or blind people. In this case, she does inclusion the other way around: it invites able-bodied people to come and play in sessions for visually impaired people. Everyone must therefore adapt to the ball which is made of foam and sounds. The goal is to share good times.

My objective is to welcome any type of public as well as possible, to find all the possible and imaginable solutions so that even the most difficult person can practice tennis.
Handicap tennis at ASM was launched in 2008. Céline Leroy often experiments with solutions because there is not a lot of training in the field.
110 years of ASM as seen by Céline Leroy
Me, I arrived in 2008 at the club. I had the opportunity to experience the centenary of the ASM. It goes very quickly and when we look in the retro, we realize all that we have been able to do, of all the great moments we have had, of the evolution of my personal practice. And its 110 years, it’s the occasion a little bit to look back and say to yourself here, such and such an event went really well, it makes you want to do it again. To highlight all the people who have been there for years. And of especially to plan for the future. To say to ourselves, this is what we have done, and now, what can we do?
