Performing at the Capital One Arena in Washington on December 18, Madonna arrived on stage two hours late.
“I’m sorry for being late… no, I’m not sorry, that’s what I am… I’m always late” did not please three of her fans who just filed a request for class action in the District of Columbia federal court against the Madonna and the promoter of the show, Live Nation.
If the court accepts the class action request, a large number of ticket holders of the said concert could then file a lawsuit to recover damages.
The plaintiffs say they were “deceived” about the start time of the show. Announced at 8:30 p.m., it started after 10:30 p.m. This is the second time that the singer has been prosecuted for her late arrival on stage. She arrived more than two hours late in Brooklyn on December 13.
