The CBA held its annual winter showcase in front of several Major League Baseball scouts. It is also a gateway to being part of the Canadian national junior team, to being selected in the next amateur baseball draft and having the possibility of playing in an American college program and continuing his career in the LBJEQ. The speed of fastballs at 90 MPH and more was reached by several pitchers including Jeremy Pilon, of Sport-études Chêne-Bleu and member of the Canadian national junior team, who was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays.

The scouts, Jasmin Roy of the Toronto Blue Jays, Walt Burrows of the Minnesota Twins, Greg Hamilton, Canadian National Teams Manager, Denis Boucher of the New York Yankees, and Pete Orr of the Milwaukee Brewers, told me stressed that they had been impressed by the talent of the players.
