Castres finishes first in the regular season, after his victory in Pau (16-26). The Toulouse Stadium, winner of the last two Shields of Brennus outclassed Biarritz, already relegated, (80-7). La Rochelle has won its place experience against LOU (26-29) and Racing, at the cost of its victory against Toulon (21-16) landed the last qualifying spot.
Perpignan brings down Bordeaux before the barrage
At the bottom of the table, a distance match was played between Brive and Perpignan. Brive won on the lawn of the French Stadium (17-33) and Perpignan won against Union Bordeaux-Bègles, 3rd in the championship (22-15). The Catalans finish 13th and will have to play a play-off against Mont-de-Marsan to stay in the Top 14 next season.
