Car theft in Longueuil | Sixty-year-old dies after being hit by driver

A sixty-year-old man lost his life after being hit by a driver following a car theft on Saturday in Longueuil.



The accident occurred on Taschereau Boulevard, at the corner of Saint-Charles Street, reported the Longueuil agglomeration police department.

The sixty-year-old was allegedly hit by a driver behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle. The victim was taken to hospital. His death was confirmed on Sunday morning by the Bureau of Independent Investigations (BEI).

The BEI has launched an independent investigation into this event. The City of Montreal police department (SPVM) is carrying out the initial investigation into the vehicle theft.
