Canadian Golf Open | South African Paula Reto wins the tournament

(Ottawa) Paula Reto of South Africa has won the Canadian Women’s Golf Open.

Reto turned in 67 (minus-4) in the final round and won this tournament for the first time in her career.

This final round put Reto ahead of South Koreans Narin An and Hye-Jin Choi, who shared the lead after 54 holes. The South African finished the tournament with a cumulative score of minus-19.

American Nelly Korda attempted a late comeback, but was stopped just one shot away from forcing an overtime with Reto.

Reto shot 62 in the opening round, setting the course record for Ottawa Hunt Golf Club.

Alena Sharp was the highest-ranked Canadian in the tournament, finishing 17e echelon by virtue of a cumulative score of minus-10.
