A call for a strike was launched for Wednesday, November 9 by the inter-union of the Coca-Cola European Partners group on all its French sites, indicates France Bleu Occitanie. The inter-union demands an 8% wage increase, while the group made very large profits, +22% in October.
Management proposed a 4.8% increase during the mandatory annual negotiation on Tuesday at the headquarters in Issy-les-Moulineaux. An insufficient offer for the inter-union which therefore calls for a strike on Wednesday in all the group’s factories in France. It highlights the profits made by the group in October and those of next year which promise to be record for the company.
The negotiator recalls that the “European management announced inflation for France of 6.2%,” and that Coca-Cola employees are paid “20% above the Smic.” A new negotiation meeting is scheduled for Monday 14 November. The management of the Coca-Cola European Partners group should communicate in turn soon.
