(Montreal) Olivia Baril (Valcar-Travel & Service) managed to save the day by finishing in the same time as the winner Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx), Thursday, in the first stage of the Tour de Burgos. The Rouyn-Noranda cyclist ranked 41and at the end of the 122 kilometers between Pedrosa del Príncipe and Aranda de Duero in northern Spain.

Kopecky easily won the bunch sprint. She is on the podium again after her prolific spring where she won the Tour of Flanders and Strade Bianche, in addition to finishing second in Paris-Roubaix.
