Cinema legend Bruce Willis is officially ending his career. Suffering from a language disorder called aphasia, the star of diehard and pulp Fiction is forced to abandon her plans to focus on her health and possible rehabilitation. Asked about BFMTV, the doctor Alain Ducardonnet explained the symptoms of this terrible disease.
It is a sad news that fell on the Willis clan: The actor is affected by aphasia, an unknown disease. Also this Thursday, the health specialist of the BFMTV channel returned to the symptoms. “The person can no longer speak, no longer has language, so not only does he no longer express himself but he also has difficulty understanding what the other is saying“. “So it’s extremely difficult to be an actor with this very particular disorder” explained the doctor on the set of BFMTV. While aphasia “is a neurological disorder related to damage to the brain“which is generally the consequence of a stroke, the circumstances of the onset of the disease in the actor remain unknown to this day.
The news had fallen on the Instagram page of his eldest daughter Rumer (whom he had with Demi Moore in 1988). The latter, saddened, had published: “To the amazing Bruce fans, we the family wanted to share with you that our beloved Bruce has been going through some health issues lately and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia which is impacting his cognitive functions. Because of this, it is with great regret that we announce that he will now step back from his career, which meant so much to him..”
Fans will nevertheless be able to see their idol one last time in a film to be released this year, Paradise City. This feature film by Chuck Russell will reunite Bruce Willis and John Travolta on screen for the first time since pulp Fiction In 1994.
