While a wind of nostalgia is blowing across the French audiovisual landscape, a cult reality TV show is making a comeback in 2024. It is obviously
Temptation Island.
Broadcast for the first time in 2002, the program is making its mark come back on the W9 channel
from January 18, 2023. A tenth season Mexico tour and presented by
Delphine Wespiser, the former beauty queen who has become an essential figure on the small screen.
What is the concept of the program?
No panic for those who were not old enough to watch the first editions of the program two decades ago since the concept is very simple: five couples go to an island to put their love story to the test.
And for good reason, separated in two different villasthe lovebirds must each resist the temptation of 10 handsome singles… But while the “dates” romantic one after another with the temptresses, each couple then discovers, through a video, a selection of images from their partner’s stay on the occasion of a “campfire” in the presence of Delphine Wespiser.
Compromising images (or not) on which couples will rely to make a decision during the‘final campfire. Twelve days after the start of their adventure, the couples will meet face to face to decide whether or not they will stay as a couple at the end of the adventure…
Who are the five couples?
“The couples who applied to experience this adventure were really very numerous, we selected five of them”, declares Delphine Wespiser in the teaser for the tenth edition of Temptation Island which has already seen the light of day on the Web. Images through which we can see the five duos of the show: Maeva and Remy (a couple for two years), Salomé and Timothy (a couple for five years), Lidia and Gaëtan (a couple for three years), Chloé and Jarod (a couple for a year) and Kelly and Enzo (a couple for six months). So many unknown personalities from the small screen, at least for the moment…

What will be the role of Delphine Wespiser?
Present at the campfires throughout the show, Delphine Wespiser will have an important role. “I’m here for show the truth. To show them the images, to welcome their emotions, to make them speak”she confided to our colleagues at Melty a few days before the broadcast of the first episode.
And to add: “But I had to remain neutral. I just have to show the truth and then each of them has to form their own opinion. Sometimes we overinterpret small images, and vice versa. But we hide our faces. So this what’s good about Temptation Island is that we have all pictures. We have the truth”.
A show that the presenter describes as a real “couples therapy” remotely to discover on the W9 channel of the on January 18, 2024 from 9:05 p.m.
