In the Côtes-d’Armor, the Bretons support Sterenn Diridollou, singer of the group Alvan and Ahez, who will represent France at Eurovision 2022, Saturday May 14.
Friday, May 13, the whole village of Coadout (Côtes-d’Armor) is behind the singer Sterenn Diridollou, who will represent France in the Eurovision contest the next day, with the group Alvan & Ahez. The owner of the village bar is proud to have followed the singer since her debut. “It’s huge for the municipality. It’s something impressive”says Annie Le Bescont, owner of the “Au Coadout bar”.
The group Alvan & Ahez will defend the song Fulenn, a title entirely in Breton. This piece is inspired by a Breton legend. The parents of Sterenn Diridollou, who accompany him from an early age, would not have imagined seeing her at Eurovision. “What a journey she has come. We are very very proudsuper proud of her”, says his mother. The singer owes her love of the Breton language to her father, a biniou player. It is fortunate that it represents the regional languages which “ask to live again”.
