Ministerial reshuffle and preparation for the legislative elections, the month of May which followed the presidential re-election of Emmanuel Macron on April 24, 2022 was not easy. The weekend of the ascension then presented itself to the Head of State as the possibility of recharging his batteries somewhat. But the heavy files of the President of the Republic complicated things during his stay at Fort Brégançon with his wife Brigitte Macron, reveals the magazine Closer.
Like every year, the 44-year-old French leader takes a break in Brégançon, a vacation spot for the Presidents of the Republic in Bormes-les-Mimosas with his wife and their dog Nemo. But the atmosphere was far from lazy after Closer : she was more studious than ever, on the eve of the legislative elections which will be held on 12th and 19th June next. Brigitte Macron was therefore able to observe her dear husband monopolized by videoconferences and other telephone appointments.
It is therefore alone that the 69-year-old first lady of France went to sea for a boat trip that we imagine pleasant but only halfway, since the man of her life was not by her side. According to information from the magazine, “as soon as she returned to the fort, she therefore decided to use all her persuasiveness with her husband to force him to press pause“. Strengthened by her influence, she made the politician give in, who savored a “real breath of fresh air by embarking on a small pleasure boat“for a few hours on Friday, May 27.
Brigitte Macron knows how to use her influence discreetly and sparingly since they have been a couple – they married in 2007 – to try to limit the immense pressure that her husband puts on himself in the exercise of his profession. It was she who managed to prevent him from continuing the festivities after his victory last April, strongly advising him to rest at the Lanterne in Versailles the same evening. The one who aspired to a simpler life last October knows that this new mandate is a marathon and that it must be spared to hold on the long term. The couple were recently seen at the tribute to the Invalides made to the late Françoise Rudetzki then during the rekindling ceremony of the Flame under the Arc de Triomphe on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II of England , in Paris.
