Bordeaux’s Edouard Damestoy wins a second world championship title

Good news for tricolor skateboarding before the 2024 Paris Olympics
: at 25, Bordeaux’s Edouard Damestoy won a second world championship title on Monday. At the World Skate Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the rider topped the competition in the Vert’ discipline (a U-shaped vertical ramp). Title holder of the last edition in 2019 in Barcelona, Edouard Damestoy
has already done well this summer by becoming the first Frenchman to dominate an X-Games skateboarding event. Appreciated at the Vista MegaPark in California, the Girondin then won the Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert in Salt Lake City.

Edouard Damestoy has now planned to spend the warm winter in Brazil to celebrate his three gold medals. The Bordelais will then target the first qualifying events for the 2024 Paris Games in 2023.
