Some French people have found an original way to support the Ukrainian population, by booking a stay in the country on the Airbnb platform. Nearly 2 million euros have thus been collected by Ukraine.
Unprecedented solidarity, to help Ukrainian civilians trapped in war, is gaining momentum on the Internet. Reservations in Ukraine are multiplying on a seasonal accommodation rental site. Céline Nézet, Parisian, has reserved an apartment in Kiev (Ukraine) for three nights that she will not be occupying, in order to make a donation. “I wanted to tell you how much your support means a lot to me. We are a family with a 5 month old little girl, and my husband is French”replied the host, Irina.
Airbnb suspends commission fees
