(Toronto) The Toronto Blue Jays have not offered a three-man contract for the 2023 season.
The team announced Friday that outfielders Raimel Tapia and Bradley Zimmer as well as infielder Vinny Capra are now free agents.
The deadline for offering a contract to players eligible for salary arbitration was set at 8 p.m. Eastern Time by Major League Baseball.
Tapia played in 128 games for the Blue Jays, maintaining a .265 batting average with seven home runs and 52 RBIs.
Zimmer had two long runs and five RBIs in 100 games in 2022. He only posted a .101 batting average.
Capra completed just eight games last season, batting .200, with one hit and two runs scored.
