Found unconscious in a swimming pool at a residence on Île Bizard, the child was still in critical condition Tuesday evening.
The events took place shortly before 6 p.m., in a residence on rue Place des Cageux, not far from chemin du Bord-du-Lac, in the L’Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève sector.
Upon their arrival, firefighters and police officers quickly took care of the child, who was transported to a hospital center. “His condition is considered critical as I speak to you,” indicates agent Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM).
A perimeter was set up and investigators went to the scene to analyze the scene and shed light on the circumstances surrounding this event.
