We rediscover its historical terroirs and its native grape varieties. Frappato is a thin-skinned grape variety; it therefore does not produce very colorful or very tannic wines. On the other hand, they are often aromatic and fruity, with distinct floral notes.
That of Biscaris, a small family estate in the village of Acate in the south-east of the island, has a fragrant nose, full of ripe fruit, enhanced with floral notes. The mouth is suave, all in fruit, with a lot of freshness and light chalky tannins which bring relief and structure. Dry, rather light, with a grainy texture, it is best served chilled and will accompany antipasti, grilled vegetables, sausage pasta and rapini.
