Eltern Alsace
For 25 years, parents of students have been mobilizing to ensure that as many students as possible in Alsace have access to early bilingual education – from kindergarten – and throughout their schooling.
The action of Eltern Alsace, supported and financed by the European Collectivity of Alsace and the Grand Est Region, is essentially based on three axes:
- Promote and develop bilingual education in Alsace
- Inform you and support you throughout your children’s schooling
- Represent you to different institutions
To carry out these missions, Eltern Alsace relies on a team of experienced volunteer parents.

The RecrutoRRs initiative
As part of the RecrutoRRs project, a tri-national center of the Upper Rhine was created to promote, raise awareness and recruit for bilingual education professions and the promotion of the regional language (German / Alsatian) in Alsace. This initiative is supported by the ELTERN Alsace association and benefits from European funding (Interreg V Rhin Supérieur program). By preserving and developing bilingual education in Alsace, the RecrutoRRs project will make it possible to promote cross-border mobility in the long term and boost the labor market in the Rhine basin.
