“Big Tape of Rock”, Sylvie

The members of Sylvie are the kings of dad rock. THE boy band Montrealer (Anis Azzoug, Vinny Batista, Simon Charette, Alex and Francis Lamontagne) could not have found a better name for his latest mini-album, Big rock bang. No tricks or false advertising: for around twenty minutes, at least drum almost always dramatic, followed by very, very fat guitar riffs and a lot of self-deprecation, sometimes underlined by the saxophone of Sam Hampell of Allo Fantôme. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it’s funny! Of the Julian, which evokes friendships that are not always very healthy and slightly immature, we really want to push our sunglasses onto our nose (why? Why not!) and swing, because that’s the spirit of the music, after all. We then continue to laugh on Wolf paw which recalls the onomatopoeia of the rockers that we listened to on the radio at a time that those under 20 cannot know. In short,Animal has Provençal bastardevery word is worth listening to!
