Bidaia – Iparralde

Bidaia is a folk group created in 2002 by Mixel Ducau and Caroline Philips: their albums offer us a world tour, with Basque rhythms of course, carried by the alboka or the xirula, but also melodies from around the world, India, Middle East, North Africa.
Caroline Philips brings a very original touch to it with her hurdy-gurdy, an instrument that we don’t often see, but which brings strength to the music, with its rhythm close to trance.

A song that honors the towns and villages of the Basque Country

“Iparralde” is an original song, a tribute to the towns and villages of the Northern Basque Country, to our roots, with catchy music and an original clip.
