Beyoncé tops the US box office with her film “Renaissance”, but far from Taylor Swift’s performance

With $21 million in revenue, Queen Bey’s theatrical performance remains well below that of Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour,” which grossed $92.8 million in its first weekend.

With the film on its tour Renaissance, Beyoncé took the lead at the North American box office this weekend, confirming after Taylor Swift the success of concerts broadcast in cinemas, according to estimates from Exhibitor Relations on December 3. However, its performance remains far below that of The Eras Tour by Swift.

Beyoncé is ahead Hunger Games: The Ballad of the Serpent and the Songbirda prequel to the dystopian saga of the same name based on the novel series by Suzanne Collins, which collected $14.5 million, after dominating the box office the last two weekends.

Godzilla Minus Oneby the Japanese Takashi Yamazaki produced by Toho studios, comes in third position, with 11 million dollars, followed by Trolls 3 (7.6 million) and the latest film from Disney studios, wishwhich closes the top 5 with $7.4 million.
