Berlin too strong for Grenoble in the Champions League

For their first this season, the Brûleurs de Loups, reigning French champions, faced a very big chunk of Berlin. And the Grenoble residents could not do anything against a team which has just won the powerful German league two years in a row.

Even if the people of Isère have opened the score by Dylan Fabre after 7’20, the Germans did not let the South Pole ice rink dream for long. Berlin equalized in stride and even took the lead to lead 2-1 after the first period.

A fatal second third

There is hope, but it won’t last. In less than two minutes Berlin scores twice, and does not stop there. The Germans stand out irremediably in this second third which they complete with a river score of 7-1.

The note is salty, Grenoble changes goalkeeper, and holds much better in the last period despite several situations of numerical inferiority. Both teams scored once each (Julien Munoz for the BDL), and Berlin finally won 8-2.

The Burners of Wolves will try to raise their heads on Saturday, during the second day of the Champions League, still at the South Pole against the Czechs of Mountfield (6:30 p.m.
