Beaujolais Nouveau arrives at “Les 4 pépins” wine bar in Pau

Beaujolais Nouveau a tradition resulting from a ban on the release of wines before December 15 that was 50 years ago. Today a good opportunity to meet and for some to discover the vineyards located between Lyon and Mâcon. Benoit Favrel is going to offer us a Beaujolais Nouveau evening tomorrow (which we celebrate all over the world at midnight and one minute of this 3rd Thursday e November, the sale is prohibited before) an embellishment to open a St-Amour for example or even a Juliénas.

Beaujolais Nouveau 2021 has notes of red berries with a mineral note according to our guest who had the privilege of tasting it in preview.

In Pau at 4 rue Bernadotte since September 1, the wine bar “Les 4 Pépins” has opened its doors and its bottles. In a few months Benoit Favrel is already unanimous. He prefers to speak of a cellar to be tasted. Discovering a wine is not only tasting it, it is also listening to the small and the great history of the winegrower who is hidden behind the bottle. Learning the aromas, knowing the terroirs, putting into words what you feel during a tasting is the program of the house. Benoit Favrel will be your guide with his knowledge (graduate of Wine & Spirit Education) and his extreme kindness. The guest of Benoit Favrel is the Pau baker Jean-Luc Constanti for his corn bread.

Les 4 Pépins at 4 rue Bernadotte in Pau from Monday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
