Dorothy Lachaud was on the 20 Hours set, Wednesday August 3, to discuss the aid available at the start of the school year. Among them, the exceptional back-to-school assistance reviewed by senators. “There is also, of course, the ARS, the back-to-school allowance… which has been increased by 4% this year. It is paid, subject to resources, to families with at least one school-going child aged 6 to 18. This year, it will amount to 376.98 euros per child from 6 to 10 years old, 397.78 euros for those from 11 to 14 years old, and 411.56 euros between 15 and 18 years old.explains the journalist. This aid benefits three million families and should be paid on August 16th.
There are also aid schemes for our energy and fuel expenses. Tuesday evening, August 2, the Senate voted aid of 230 million euros for homes heating with fuel oil. “Today, it still concerns three million people, but the modalities still need to be decided”reports Dorothy Lachaud. On the petrol side, from September until the end of October, the government fuel discount will increase to 30 cents instead of 18 cents per liter at the pump. But this device will not last. The journalist recalls: “in November and until the end of the year, it will drop to 10 cents per litre”. As for the food check, which had been mentioned by the government to help the most precarious to eat better, its implementation has been postponed. It could take place in 2023, but without date or guarantee.
