Baby sitter, Monia Chokri’s second feature film, has been selected for the Midnight section of the Sundance Film Festival which runs January 20-30.
The film is the adaptation of the play by Catherine Léger who signs the screenplay. The film tells the story of Cédric (Patrick Hivon), a man in his thirties who, after having uttered a sexist joke that has gone viral, must face the multiple consequences that ensue.
Monia Chokri will give the answer to Patrick Hivon while Steve Laplante plays the brother, journalist by profession, of Cédric.
Two other Canadian films, the documentary Framing Agnes and the virtual reality experience This is not a Ceremony produced by Ahnahktsipiitaa (Colin Van Loon), produced by the NFB and included in the New Frontier section, are programming.
The Sundance Film Festival will include 82 feature films.
