Since its sensational appearance in Everything that shines, in 2010, Audrey Lamy’s daily life took on a boost. And in this fall of 2011, the 30-year-old actress has been busy: she gets up between 6:30 and 7 a.m., turns to Bion 3 and green tea, then goes to La Plaine Saint-Denis to record the pellets of Scènes de households, the short program of M6 which is entering its third season. With his sidekick, Loup-Denis Elion, they canned no less than ten sketches a day. As a result, Audrey often skips lunch, preferring to take a nap before resuming filming until 7 p.m. In the evening, the actress finds herself on the boards for Last before Vegas, her one-woman-show that she ends around 11 p.m. And when she finally returns to her Parisian apartment in the 20th arrondissement, Audrey Lamy is too excited to sleep.
“I had a serious lung infection. I was tired, I didn’t know where I lived anymore”
After nine months at this frenetic pace, what had to happen happened: “I had a serious lung infection. I was tired, I didn’t know where I lived. Today, I changed a lot of things. I stopped smoking, I also stopped eating spicy foods. to clear my voice. And above all, I avoid telephone conversations where you place your voice badly and where you speak too loudly”explained this now young quadra to The magazine team, last March. This famous hoarse voice, a true trademark of the Lamy sisters. Born on January 19, 1981, ten years after Alexandra, Audrey is an actress at heart who, as a child in the 80s, was already transferring to Robin Wright, then heroine of the sitcom Santa Barbara on TF1. The young girl lived a happy childhood in Alès (Gard), pampered by Alexandra, her eldest, and her interior decorator parents who have lived together for more than fifty years now. She is a rather introverted child, who rows a bit at school – she repeated a grade twice.
Happy family
“At home, I was very comfortable and liberated, but when it came to expressing myself in public or presenting myself, it became painful”remembers the actress in Psychology magazine (March 2019). In order to overcome this shyness, she took acting lessons at the Nîmes Conservatory and understood from the very first moment that she wanted to become an actress. Her parents aren’t too supportive of the idea, especially since Alexandra is already a celebrity. They don’t want that “the little” experience a disappointment and, ultimately, a great frustration vis-à-vis “the big one”the star ofA boy a girl (France 2).
Audrey ignores their fears and, at the age of 20, she goes to Paris, goes through the Cours Florent, then by dint of hard work, manages to integrate the Conservatory. “I received an extremely complete training there: comedy, dance, singing, fencing… I felt like I was in Fame! So I worked a lot on tragedy”she analyzes in Paris Match (August 2018). A detail that makes sense: Audrey avoids at that time to tell her fellow apprentice actors that she is Alexandra’s sister and denies it altogether if someone asks her the question: “I was not ashamed, I just wanted to do it alone”she justifies in TV 7 days. However, it was through her brother-in-law, Jean Dujardin, that she met Alex Lutz (the hippy Nazi in OSS 117: Rio is unresponsive), and that her life will take a new turn in 2008. Lutz detects the burlesque potential of Audrey and decides to co-write and direct her show Last before Vegas, which will reveal the comic nature of the actress. This one-woman-show worked so well that it opened the doors of the small screen to her with Scenes from Households, a short program along the lines of – coincidence or coincidence? – ofA boy a girl. The television adventure will last ten years and allow him to be placed at the top of the bill in the cinema.
Audrey becomes as well known as Alexandra. She is the subject of articles in the press where she passes for the nice, funny thirty-year-old who likes aperitifs with girlfriends, weekends in thalassotherapy with her sister and her niece or walking around Paris with her boyfriend. This spouse with whom she had a son named Leo (in homage to Leonardo DiCaprio of whom she is a fan) in 2016, and who fills her: “My son is a kif. I take him to see shows, we put his favorite music on full blast in the car, we are often on the Trotro donkey”she describes in She (March 2022). During 2019, her happiness seems to reach a kind of acme when she learns that she is pregnant again.
In 2020, she lost a baby
Alas, fate will catch up with Audrey. At the beginning of 2020, the actress and her companion announce via a press release that they have lost the baby. Audrey is recovering from this tragedy with her loved ones, continues filming and gradually regains a taste for life. Then in the summer of 2021, finally comes good news or rather a happy event. Audrey gives birth to a little Alma in August. Leo’s sister is a lioness and the whole family is beaming. The scene of a very happy couple…
A guy, a girl and children
In 2008, Audrey fell in love with Thomas Sabatier, an entrepreneur specializing in viral marketing and social networks. It is then an unknown, it has not yet integrated the team of Scenes of households. More than ten years and two children later, the couple is stronger than ever: “We coach each other, we support each other. He is calm, square, much less extreme and jealous than me”she confided about Thomas in TV Star in 2013. A great complementarity!
Alexandra, his sister, his BFF
“Whatever happens, I have my sister Alexandra. If I have a doubt or a problem, she comes running”declared Audrey in Paris Match, last March. His sister was also a driving force. Because it was Alexandra who secretly took him to acting classes. “When I saw that my sister was living from her passion, I said to myself: me too, that’s what I want to do”. A healthy emulation coupled with a foolproof sorority.
Alex Lutz, mentor and friend
These two met fifteen years ago when Audrey was looking for a director. Since then, they have not left each other and call each other every day. “Very often, we sit down at the café and go into spy mode. We listen to people, their intonations, their conversations. It makes us laugh and helps us build our characters”. (She, March 2022). A fruitful friendship both professionally and personally.
The day she outed Emmanuel Macron’s passion for K. Maro
Following the private screening of invisible at the Élysée, in February 2019, a karaoke is organized and Audrey Lamy sings Woman Like Uby K. Maro, to the delight of the President of the Republic. “It’s an info: our President loves K. Maro”revealed the facetious Audrey to The Express a little after.
