Rolex watches, bags, jewelry, quads… It’s a somewhat catch-all auction that takes place today, Tuesday April 25, at the Paris Court of Appeal. All the goods were seized from dealers or come from drug trafficking.

On the morning of April 25, the Paris courthouse took on the air of the Auto Show. Luxury cars were seized from offenders. One of them belonged to a man living in Lorient (Morbihan), who was laundering drug money. The starting price is 160,000 euros. In all, 25 vehicles seized from drug traffickers will be put up for sale. Under the gilding of the court are also designer shoes, luxury watches, household robots or an electric bicycle which seems to have already found its suitor.

The money donated to an interministerial cell

120 buyers are expected on site for the sale and 6,000 on the internet. Some have stacked the odds on their side, like a man who laid down his day for the occasion. “I took a little time to see the articles that interest me”he confides. “I unlocked my cards so that I could spend a lot of money”, continues another man. The money from the sale, which can represent millions, will be entirely donated to the Interministerial Mission for the Fight against Drugs and Addictive Behaviours.
