Two people were killed on Sunday, August 4, and two others injured in a knife attack in the city of Holon, a suburb of Tel Aviv, emergency services and Israeli police said. “This was a complex and difficult terrorist attack, with the victims located in three different locations, approximately 500 metres apart.”said Magen David Adom, the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross.
A 66-year-old woman died of serious injuries. Another victim, a man of about 80, later died of his injuries. Among the injured, a 68-year-old man was seriously injured and another, aged 26, is in moderate condition, according to Maugen David Dom.
The suspect of this “suspected terrorist attack”a resident of the occupied West Bank, was quickly “neutralized” by a police officer who arrived at the scene, local authorities said. Shamir Medical Center in Holon said the attacker arrived at the hospital shortly after the incident in critical condition and was pronounced dead.
Shortly after the attack, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir visited the scene of the tragedy.
