The island of Taiwan was crossed by the violent Typhoon Koinu on Thursday October 5, with winds of more than 340 km/h. According to the provisional report from local authorities, there is at least one death and nearly 300 injured.
A man ventures into the street in Taiwan without measuring the force of the wind, when a violent gust carries him away and throws him to the ground. He gets up, painfully. Winds so strong that they carry away everything in their path: roofs, signs, storefronts. Nothing resists the typhoon Koinuand its gusts at more than 340 km/h. On the coast, waves reach up to seven meters high.
