At 27, a young entrepreneur realizes his dream

Benjamin Russell follows the example of 82 inspiring families by choosing to invest in a group that owns 6 Chico pet shops.

He started working at the Chico de Sainte-Agathe as a clerk during his university studies, and immediately fell in love with it.

“Working in a neighborhood store has its requirements, he points out, but at Chico, you have the chance to meet happy pet owners. They come to see us for their animal that they love as a child and we are happy to offer them unparalleled customer service. Over time, we create a bond with them and their animals. »

Benjamin Russell rose through the ranks until 2021, when the opportunity to join the Chico family presented itself. He agrees to become a franchisee of the Blainville store and join a group of investors with a total of six stores on the North Shore of Montreal, a decision he is pleased to have taken.

Easy acquisition and long-term support

Investing with Chico means benefiting from the expertise of the banner, which has more than 82 successful projects that are still in operation. Thus, Chico supports its investors on several fronts, in particular thanks to the effectiveness of its marketing, the low cost of acquisition, various management tools such as a web platform for staff training, a day-to-day management platform, advantageous financing offers from partner institutions, and much more.

The projects are always turnkey and are all personalized to maximize the performance of the stores of each of the franchisees. With unparalleled attention to detail, Chico creates custom layout plans, ensuring everyone’s success.

“Chico takes the success of its banner and its franchisees to heart,” confirms Benjamin Russell. I feel supported and well cared for. Representatives of the franchisor come to meet with us regularly to offer us assistance and to ensure that the high quality standards are respected. The young man also notes that the mutual aid and solidarity that exist between the franchisees are unique. “Hearing others talk about their successes is both fun and empowering,” he says.

The future

And now that he has the wind in his sails, how does he see the future? I see a bright future for myself and for Chico. The company has great projects under development. Benjamin realizes that Chico is called upon to grow and that the company is growing. He encourages people to pursue this business opportunity because he finds it a tremendously rewarding environment.
