Quebec reports Tuesday 35 new deaths attributable to COVID-19, as well as a decrease in hospitalizations.
There are currently 1,901 hospitalizations, a decrease of nine compared to the previous day. Sixty-six people are in intensive care, a stable number for a third consecutive day.
A total of 6,463 health care workers are absent for reasons related to COVID-19, such as preventive withdrawal or isolation.
The Ministry of Health officially reports 772 new cases of COVID-19. However, the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to certain priority groups.
Since the start of the pandemic, 1,053,409 infections have been officially reported, and 15,178 of them have proven fatal.
A total of 205,929 rapid tests were self-reported on the government platform, including 168,604 positives. For the day on Monday, 648 tests were declared, including 558 positive.
The Ministry of Health indicates that 10,632 analyzes were carried out on Monday and that the positivity rate is 7.7%.
With regard to vaccination, 11,993 doses have been administered in Quebec in the last 24 hours.
Among those 5 years and older, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 54% received a third dose and 11% obtained a fourth. Among those aged 60 and over, 36% received a fourth dose.
