These 14 new deaths bring the daily average calculated over seven days to 13. The trend is thus down 13% over one week.

On Saturday, the province recorded 27 fewer hospitalizations, for a total of 1,099 people hospitalized in connection with the virus. Of this number, 64 patients are in intensive care, which represents a drop of 18% over one week.

Authorities reported 1,089 new cases, bringing the daily average to 1,083. This is down 6% over one week. Due to limitations on screening, however, the cases are less representative.

Vaccination campaign stagnates

As for the vaccination campaign, it is currently making little progress in Quebec. On average, the province administers just 6,600 doses per day. To date, 49.3% of Quebecers have received their booster dose.

Authorities report that 86.6% of Quebecers have received at least one dose. The proportion of the population having rolled up their sleeves at least twice is 82.6%.
