A major operation kept the authorities in suspense Tuesday evening in front of the headquarters of the Saguenay Police Service (SPS), in the Arvida sector.
A man barricaded in his vehicle caused a stir in the neighborhood.
The intervention began around 7 p.m.
The police building was evacuated, as well as part of Davis Square, a well-known location in Arvida.
A security perimeter was established and the specialists attempted to initiate discussions with the madman.
