The awakening on the peninsulathe de Rhuys, in the Gulf of Morbihan is one of the highlights of this journey. “The song of the birds, the golden light, the calm sea, the pleasure of being in nature and this one-on-one with a deer when leaving my tent, it’s sublimesays Rémi Le Calvez. I observed another crossing the Auray river where other birds pass: stairns, seagulls, herons… All magnificent.”
The walker also crossed a little egret just before Pont-Aven. “This white wading bird is very easy to spot. I often observe it from afar. I thes find majestic when they fly away. They have a long black beak, tall thin legs. And there, I saw one placed on a tree trunk emerged in the water a few meters from me. He was fishing!”
Rémi met a local, Pascal, after the Plage de la Torche in Plovan. The latter invited him to sleep at his place. To the sound of his host’s drum, he celebrated the sunset. An unforgettable moment which is also one of the beautiful surprises of the trip.
“On the wild coast, between Pointe du Raz and Pointe du Van, I discovered the Baie des trépassés where there are a lot of surfers and I rafted near the Chapelle Saint-They (Cap Sizun). is just sublime too.”
