Anger of farmers: are the announcements enough?
Anger of farmers: are the announcements enough? – (France info)
Some farmers were convinced by the Prime Minister’s announcements, Friday January 26, to face the agricultural crisis while others got back in their tractor to continue their actions. What will be next?
From their blocking points on occupied highways throughout France, they awaited concrete responses from the government on Friday January 26. On the A64, the epicenter of the movement, opinions differ. Some welcome the government’s responsiveness, others wait. On the A13 in the Paris region, it is difficult to see clearly after the Prime Minister’s announcements. “We lack concrete details, we will see in the coming weeks how all this will apply”estimates a farmer.
Paris remains the objective for some farmers
In Oise, on the A1, this news sparks debate between farmers. Some want to break camp, others to continue the protest. “Basically, I think we haven’t made much progress”, declares a demonstrator. Will the fight continue? In the minds of certain Ile-de-France farmers, Paris remains the number 1 objective. In several cities, other blocking points are lifted in the evening.
